Cm-9.3.13 1st This. 5.1-6, 9-11  Ps.27. 1, 4, 13-14  Lk. 4. 31-37

Cosmic connection: clear blue skies, not to chilly about dawn

Question of the day: from what evil or the effects of evil would I like Jesus to cleanse me of today?

Light and darkness

We are not part of the night,

Our deeds are deeds of light,

Done for the good of others

We delve into virtue allowing the Lord to grace our sharpness.

In the land of the living I shall see the good things of the Lord.

The Lord is our light and salvation, whom need we fear.

Along the way times of good companionship and good cheer,

A good night’s sleep leaves us much restored.

Astonishment and amazement the people experience after seeing Jesus rid the man of his demons.

This demon recognized Jesus and his power and authority.

Because of this cleansing news of Jesus spread throughout the land because of his approachability.

‘A great prophet has arisen in our midst,’

The demon did not resist.

Cm-9.1.13  Sir. 3. 17-18, 20, 28-29  Ps. 68. 4-5, 6-7, 10-11 Heb. 12.

18-19, 22-24A

Cosmic connection: clear beautiful blue skies, a crow cawing in the wind

Question of the day:  How can I reach out to help the poor, the sick or the lonely?

Humility, a word coming from the earth,

Central too many religions,

A core virtue of modesty and respect more than a smidgeon.

Always the Lord makes a home for the poor

In beauty we look and seek for the grandeur.

Defender of widows providing for the needy,

Whatever god does is quite speedy.

The parable of the invitation comes to us this day.

We must not take first the high places,

But seek the lowest so that we might be invited higher,

Then in our joy will  not guess what might transpire.

Take the yoke of Jesus upon your shoulders,

For He is meek and humble of heart.

Cosmic connection :cool dark breezy overcast promising to clear,

Question of the day: What evil do I perceive that requires my witness?

Your faith id ehat encourages us in our afflictions,

At timesa there seem in life more and more restrictions,

But then we are those we who that wish to be holy  and righteous and blameless.  Encouragement is what we need that joy includes grateful and  gratefulness and gratitude just to  get up early and write with out fright,

‘Fill us with your joy and we shall sing for joy.

Help us to gain wisdom of heart; listen to others to gain wisdom,             Prosper the work of our hands give us the energy to be productive,

The gospel what a fright, he head of John the Baptist on a platter.

What evil in that kingly courtyard!

How tantalizing her dance must have barn,

She sang fir John the Baptist’ heard on a platter,

As it it didn’t matter.

Cosmic connection:  pre-dawn pink skies clear quiet

Question of the day: What excuses do I rely on to avoid doing what God wants me to do?

The empty page before the sage,

My computer was on the blink

Gideon want verification support for what he is about to do.

He doesn’t think he can do it on his own, but to see an angel fantastic.

Now he can go forth to clear the land for his people save them from the drink.

Aha! I knew it:’ The Lord speaks of peace to his people’-release.

The other day we had division and unity finally peace.

To those who are loyal and put their hope in him

Justice looking down from heaven.

Walking before us as we follow the way of salvation.

All things are possible for God,-the Author of life.

It is difficult to be rich and to enter the Kingdom so fine,

But all things are prepared by God the center of the divine.

Those who have given up all to follow the purpose of the name

Will receive their reward and inherit eternal life

Jesus Christ became poor

That we through his poverty might become rich

Cosmic connection: chill cold windless, clear skies to warm up

Question of the day: How might I be more open to the wonder of God’s presence today?

Moses realizes with his one hundred and twenty years that he won’t make it to the Promised Land.

He delegates Joshua to be the leader

He tells all Israel to be brave and steadfast for the Lord marches with them their feeder,

The presence of the Lord alongside as the Lord planned.

‘The portion of the Lord is his people.’

How right are the ways of the Lord!

The one we come to honor and adore,

Each of us a place of his dwelling a cathedral.

Jesus wants us to be simple and humble as a child,

The kingdom is not open to us unless we turn and become humbly styled,

Jesus is happy saving the straying one leaving the ninety-nine,-mild,

Each night let our examination rummage through our day of actions,

See if rummaging through our day if we were respectful, simple and humble   unrifled.

Cosmic connection: chilly gray drizzly day cooler

Question of the day: What ‘husk is Jesus asking me to shed in order to grow?

Bountifully we must sow,

We know not where or when the grace will show,

God it is who dispenses the grace casting forth letting sowing flowing,

Seeking a harvest of righteousness, goodness, a love for the care of the poor.

Blessed be the one who is gracious and lends to those in need,

Those who delight in the commands of the Lord,

Shall have many descendants and their land restored.

Trusting in the Lord everything agreed.

Now Jesus asks those who sow the seed to let it to the ground fall,

It must die to itself that others might live and listen for a call,

If it dies it will yield a rich harvest preserved for eternal life. Giving its all.

Whoever follows me will not walk in the dark,

But by Eucharistic living leave their mark.

Cosmic connection:  gray thick cold overcast, quiet chilly

Question of the day: What wonder is Jesus working in my life right now?

Moses in Deuteronomy is guided to ponder the great things the Lord has done in his life.

Hearing the voice of God, seeing the fire without consumption,

Being led out of slavery into the Promised Land to a new redemption,

Guiding your people to follow the law and live without strife.

We too must ponder

What is this day our way of self-denial?  In any case?

For in that is our I our personal cross which we must embrace

For if not from the good path we stray, we wander.

Discipleship demands embracing our cross.

That is what it means to come after the One whom we want to follow.

Even though our cross might be difficult to swallow.

Blessed are we who accept persecution for the sake of righteousness

Then we shall abide in the Kingdom at our completion in uprightness.

ST. DOMINIC.S FEAST DAY.

Cosmic connection: gray overcast morning promising to clear to sunny skies

Question of the day: Who is Jesus for me today?

To praise, to bless, and to preach,

How beautiful the feet of those bearing Good News.

Bring the joy of salvation as one of life’s clues,

To encourage, admonish, and to teach.

Let us all proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations.

Dominic guarded humility and chose voluntary poverty

Never did this saintly man do anything improperly,

Purity of life, joyful friar, Gospel man of prayer, no sensation.

The Gospel reading is the missioning of the disciples, – sent.

Told to baptize everyone in unconditional love, the Trinity. – Sacrament.

Preach always the preciousness of the Word guiding how our lives are spent.

O Christian, give tribute to Yahweh, praise honor and glory tell us Spirit what it all meant.

Cosmic connections Cool to be clearing quiet early morning

Question of the day: What am I persistent about in my prayer?

It is pre-dawn time after a good night’s sleep.

Once more I am home… from hospitalization,

At this point in life health has become a fixation,

I must reconnoiter my room clean out and ready for the final journey in no hurry striving for prayer ever Faithful and deep.

With a heart filled with gratitude, remembering things that have happened,

Grateful to the Lord for all the times He has favored me,

Many anecdotes shall dribble off my fingers to tell, the cravings in my desert,

The fence-riding time when I became a convert,

The happy times when I went on a shopping spree.

In the Gospel we have an example of a woman persistent in prayer.

Three times Jesus refuses her request,

She is not praying for herself; Jesus is testing her faith, loyalty

Letting her prayer become her poetry,

Showing by her faith that she really is one who compassionately daily cares.

‘A great prophet has arisen in our midst,’

Te helps those around her she cannot resist.
