cm-2.19.13

ACm-2.19.13  Isaiah55. 10-11  Ps.34. 4-5, 6-7, 16-17, 18-19  Mt. 6.7-15

Cosmic connection: predawn dark threatening skies quiet chilly

Question of the day: Which phrase of this prayer speaks to me this day?

The cycle of nature is impressed on us in the two verses of Isaiah.

Rain waters the earth and returns to the skies to water again,

So does the Word of God spoken and achieving the purpose for which it was sent.

It seems the purpose is to soften our hearts, nurturing healing and inspiring actions to help us on our journey steep as the Himalayas.

Everyone has fears,

We call upon God and He definitely hears,

Then we thank, extol and glorify His name of good cheer,

If we are just, we get a listening ear from God to whom we become dear.

Jesus gives us a seven step petitioner prayer,

Teresa of Avila, – doctor of the Church teaches much about this prayer,

Each petition is revealed to us by her wisdomic care,

If we take time to ponder these petitions our hearts will be repaired.

One does not live on bread alone,

But on every word spoken from the mouth of God by such hearts known.

Cm-9.21.12  Eph 4.1-7, 11-13  Ps. 19. 2-3, 4-5  Mt. 9.9-13

Cosmic connection:  dark chilly overcast morning saw Venus

Question of the day: What might I have to leave behind to follow Jesus today?

Unity of faith to build up the body of Christ,

Live your cal in humility and gentleness

Striving to preserve the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace the relevance,

Coming to full stature in the personhood of Christ which does suffice.

“Their message goes out through all the earth.”

Evangelists they are to spread the Good news in new ways,

To everyone throughout the world their voice is heard every one of our days,

Even with a sense of humor and a mite of mirth.

Matthew is called quite succinctly,

No invitation but only the imperative,

Yet he gathered with others at a meal in the narrative,

I desire mercy and not sacrifice he says distinctly.

“We praise you, O God; we acclaim you as Lord;

The glorious company of Apostles praises you” trying to live in one accord, restored.

Cm-9.13.12  1st Cor. 8. 1B-7. 11-13   Ps. 139. 1B-3, 13-14AB,  23-24  Lk. 6. 27-38

Comic connection dark chilly clear skies, moonless, two planets

Question of the day: What “enemy” do I need to stop judging and start loving?

Paul says knowledge through pride inflates,

It is better to be known by God,

Who is intimately with us and knows where we have trod,

On our journey, the way, without idolatry inundating.

The psalmist revels in being knit together by God,

Fearfully wonderfully made,

Asking for guidance along thud eternal way undelayed,

Grateful for wonderful works, by Beauty daily awed.

The Gospel is very challenging:-

The Golden rule,

Life’s difficult school: loving, not judging, not condemning, enemies not seeking revenge,

For as we love so shall we be gifted packed down, flowing over for what is tough and taxing.

‘If we love one another

God’s love remains in us and is brought to perfection in us’ though our earth mother

Cm-9.4.12  1st Cor. 2,10B-16  Ps. 145. 8-9. 10-11, 12-13AB, 13CD-14

Cosmic connection: dark chilly clear skies, less than full moon, Venus and one more bright one,

Question of the day:  From what evil or the effects of evil would I like Jesus to cleanse me of today?

Today is a new year for many people, kids going to school,

A lot of newness around one thing remains: we have the mind of Christ,

Spiritual realities in spiritual terms, deep Paul too deep

Being spiritual and not natural we are not subject to judgment to reap,

We do not pretend to know God, but live actively in His presence doing good not priced.

The Psalmist tries to describe God:

Merciful, Kind and gracious,

God’s faithful one

Discourse about the glory of God and His Kindom, so spacious,

It is God who is faithful lifting up the falling and we give thanks and praise we laud.

The Lucan Good News today is that Jesus has the power to cast out evil.

The demon recognizes Jesus as the Holy One of God,

Jesus rebukes him and tells him to be quiet! To come out of the man not a fraud.

To let the man become authentic and transparent without an upheaval

‘A great prophet has arisen in our midst,-‘

Of course we all would insist.

Cm-8.16.12  Ezekiel 12. 1-12  Ps. 78. 56-57, 58-59, 61-62  Mt. 18. 21-19.1

Cosmic connection: deep overcast to burn off early, cooling trend

Question of the Day: Whom do I need to forgive and be reconciled with?

It should be easy to write this after the struggle for the high Feast yesterday.

Yesterday overwhelmed with the mystery,

Today just stoking up the energy,

Ezekiel impresses us with our lack of seeing and hearing the Lord, leading us astray

The psalmist tells us how to behave when we have rebelled keeping not his decrees,

In our faithlessness angering our god leading to idolatry,

Akin to plain dishonesty,

Utter rejection of his people, and no wonder it isn’t a jubilee.

Jesus defines reconciliation with our God and all others,

There is no way to repay God for His mercy except to love,

This is the instruction from above,

To love includes infinite forgiveness of every sister and brother.

Lord let your face shine on all your servants

Leading to surrender in obedient observance.

CM-8.4.12  Jeremiah  26. 11-16, 24  Ps. 69. 15-16, 30-31, 33-34  Mt.14. 1-12\

Cosmic connection: gray cloudy skies, moisture in the air sun will prevail

Question of the day: When might my concern for other’s opinions lead me to do the wrong thing?

We have two men imprisoned and awaiting execution,

Jeremiah who bewails his innocence,

Evil to be done has no equivalence,

Seemingly for Jeremiah and John the Baptist an ungodly persecution.

Their psalm reflects their solid faith in their plea to the Lord.

Seeking from God their personal answer,

Hoping their faith will continue to support them as a life dancer,

Returning gratitude nod praise to the Lord of support during affliction a reward.

The gospel relates the story of Herod agreeing to give the head of John on a platter,

Because a girl dancer enticed him to do so,

What values, what morals, let me not judge another on the go

But let this story keep me from such actions and do only what matters.

Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake,

Theirs will be the Kindom of Heaven. Stay awake..

CM-7.24.12  Micah 7. 14-15, 18-20  Ps. 86. 2-4, 5-6, 7-8  Mt. 12. 46, 50

Cosmic connection: clear blue skies quiet early morning

Question of the day: How might I imitate god’s mercy and compassion today?

Our god is a god of mercy and compassion,

He removes our guilt has pity on us in His kindness,

He does not chastise us for our blindness,

For this is the god who has created us in a master fashion.

Therefore we seek daily to know this mercy and love,

He has revoked his blazing anger,

Replaced it with empathy and support without resentment to banter,

Pointing the way to seek things of the Spirit which are above.

Jesus then embraces us as the beloved,

Dancing with us throughout our day,

Adopting us as family members intimate in every way,

Letting us know as his children inheriting discipleship when a push comes to a shove.

L ET us then be grateful people consuming the Word,

Letting our sights become unblurred.
