Cm-9.1.13  Sir. 3. 17-18, 20, 28-29  Ps. 68. 4-5, 6-7, 10-11 Heb. 12.

18-19, 22-24A

Cosmic connection: clear beautiful blue skies, a crow cawing in the wind

Question of the day:  How can I reach out to help the poor, the sick or the lonely?

Humility, a word coming from the earth,

Central too many religions,

A core virtue of modesty and respect more than a smidgeon.

Always the Lord makes a home for the poor

In beauty we look and seek for the grandeur.

Defender of widows providing for the needy,

Whatever god does is quite speedy.

The parable of the invitation comes to us this day.

We must not take first the high places,

But seek the lowest so that we might be invited higher,

Then in our joy will  not guess what might transpire.

Take the yoke of Jesus upon your shoulders,

For He is meek and humble of heart.

Cm-3.127.12  Hosea  6.1-6  Ps. 51. 3-4, 15-19, 20-21AB

Cosmic connection: gray skies, threatening, cold and crisp

Question of the day: What if everyone thought they were equal to anyone else?

Patrick is the saint of the day,

From slave to escape to priesthood and back to Ireland for conversion,

Hose wants us to look within to see how low we have been broght by inversion,

God desires love not sacrifice for which we pray.

Nercy is the emphasis of our psalm,

Our sacrifice is to have a contrite spirit

Our compassionate god does not remember our sins with a demerit,

Ours to avoid sin and become compassionately calm.

Such a beautiful Gospel of the Pharisee qnd the tax collector in the temple,

The Pharisee did not want to be like the tax collector, though himself better,

The tax collector knowing the sinfulness which  jesus saved him asks for mercy to the letter

With others and ourselves to always be gentle.

If today you hear his voice,

Make mercy be your first choice.

Cm-12.21.11   Song of songs 2. 8-14  Ps. 13. 2-3, 11-12, 20-21  Luke. 1. 39-45

Cosmic connection:  starry black sky twinkling, cold, a day starting with coffee, and time away anticipation.

Question of the day: What does exulting do for you?  When was your last triumph?

Mary goes to visit Elizabeth,

John in the womb exults,

When we overcome life’s challenges even insults,

Mary is just barely human more divine which helps us develop some humility/

Sing to the Lord a new Song,

In our world what is the meaning of justice?

Is it not rather the experience of injustice?

My lover is like a gazelle,

He asks us to rise and come,

Peeks through lattice of confusion to find us to help us surrender, succumb,

Helps us to rejoice; His story to retell.

O Emmanuel, God with us, come to save,

Help us to deeply rejoice in the Father’s gift He gave.
