CM-8.7.13  Num. 13. 1-2, 25-14.1, 26A-29A, 34-35  Ps. 106. 6-7AB, 13-14, 21-22, 23  My. 15. 31-29

Cosmic connections Cool to be clearing quiet early morning

Question of the day: What am I persistent about in my prayer?

It is pre-dawn time after a good night’s sleep.

Once more I am home… from hospitalization,

At this point in life health has become a fixation,

I must reconnoiter my room clean out and ready for the final journey in no hurry striving for prayer ever Faithful and deep.

With a heart filled with gratitude, remembering things that have happened,

Grateful to the Lord for all the times He has favored me,

Many anecdotes shall dribble off my fingers to tell, the cravings in my desert,

The fence-riding time when I became a convert,

The happy times when I went on a shopping spree.

In the Gospel we have an example of a woman persistent in prayer.

Three times Jesus refuses her request,

She is not praying for herself; Jesus is testing her faith, loyalty

Letting her prayer become her poetry,

Showing by her faith that she really is one who compassionately daily cares.

‘A great prophet has arisen in our midst,’

Te helps those around her she cannot resist.

CM  7.4.13  Gen  22.1B-19  Ps. 115. 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 8-9  Mt. 9. 1-8

Cosmic connection:  cloudy blue skies, a scorcher to be

Question of the day:  Where in my life do I seem to be paralyzed?

Sacrifice his only son is what Abraham thought the Lord wanted.

He went up the mountain with all that was necessary,

Abraham’s faith is what he grows to be legendary,

Isaac too a bit afraid remains undaunted.

‘I will walk in the presence of the Lord in the land of the living.’

We give all glory to the Lord,

We call to him and implore,

But in our gratitude we give thanks and praise and continue our giving.

Jesus tries to heal the paralytic by forgiving his sins.

But the people protest so instead he heals by saying rise and go home,

The crowds accuse Jesus of blaspheming and questioned his authority,

But when the paralytic did rise and walk the crowd was filled with

 awe,-the majority

The man set free to be able to roam.

Cm-7.3.13   Eph 2.119-22  Ps. 117. 1BC-2  Jn. 20. 24-29

Cosmic connection: clear blue skies scorcher coming

Question of the day: How can I not put conditions on my faith?

The Apostle Thomas puts Jesus to the test,

Each of us is a dwelling place for God,

We all make up a household diversity quit broad,

By Thomas’ humility we all continue to be blessed.

Let us all go out and tell the Good News.

Our desire to praise and glorify our Lord

Because the Lord is steadfast and his fidelity is daily restored

With a daily attitude of praise and gratitude we cannot lose.

Jesus does as Thomas asks and offers his hands and side,

Thomas is taken back and responds in humility and belief

‘My Lord and my God’ what a relief.

CM-7.2.13  Gen 19. 15-29  Ps. 26. 2-3, 9-10, 11-12  Mt. 8. 23-27

Cosmic connection: Blue skies first dawn, another hot one.

Question of the day:  How is my faith being challenged?

Lot is being asked to get out of the hills,

To take his wife and daughters, or be demolished with Sodom and Gomorrah soon. He protests and then agrees.

No one is to turn back, His wife does and she is turned into salt as she flees

Could Lot be being asked to have a little obedience instilled?

‘Lord, your mercy is before my eyes’

Let me not live with sinners or those who flaunt the law,

To do that would be a last straw,

Those dedicated to the truth, and not lie.

They are all in the boat, up come the winds,

Jesus asks Why are you terrified?

We are all here: O ye of little faith, He clarified.

It gives His challenge a new spin.

CM-5.22.13  Sir. 4. 11-19  Ps. 119. 165,168, 171, 172, 174, 175  Mk. 9. 38-40

Cosmic connection:  bright blue sunny skies quiet

Question of the day: What good deeds c could I accomplish if I put my faith in Jesus?

My question of the day is what is wisdom?

The Word today does not give a clear answer direct

Neither does the human need to be perfect

It is not just good sense or accumulated learning we are to inspect,

But rather that which comes from God for the Christian.

Wisdom it is who breathes life into her children,

Do not be upset by giving her feminine attributes,

Men are unwilling to give women equality despite what we contribute,

Loving the law is the mantra of our psalm for us pilgrims.

Jesus emphasizes that anyone who is not against us is for us.

Others are gifted and graced to do Jesus deeds,

We are not to prevent others from doing mighty deeds, which succeed,

If we prevent others then our Christian living becomes porous.

‘I am the way the truth and the life’

No one can come to the Father except through Jesus’ gift of faith so rife.

Cm-5.7.13  Acts 16.22-34  Ps. 138. 1-2AB, 3CDE, 3, 7C  Jn. 16.5-11

Cosmic connection: cloudy overcast, early morning coolness birds a-twitter.

Question of the day: When have I felt sad because Jesus seemed far away?

Paul and Silas were put in jail,

They escaped causing the jailor consternation,

He wanted to take his life because they were free but

They were all still there in the jail; the jailor becomes baptized life eternal anything but stale.

Praise and thanksgiving are the activities our souls,

The Lord’s name and promise are the center of His covenant ,

Awaiting the Lord to make all things complete our lives to supplement,

Lord forget us not the work of your hands make uswhole.

Jesus is still telling us of the coming of the Spirit the Advocate.

Jesus must go to allow the Spirit to come

The Spirit will condemn sin and lack of faith and bring wholeness the sum.

Difficult to understand but allowing the Spirit to be the One who teaches and preaches in our hearts open to such concerns to plumb.

“I will send you the Spirit of truth’

“Guiding you to all truth.’

Cosmic connection: cool clear cloudy, morn, relief from heat

Question of the day: When have I experienced Jesus’ presence with me recently?

Do not let false teachers disturb your heart and mind.

No extra burden will be placed on you.

Refrain from meat and remain true,

Then you will be able to hear the Holy Spirit and the ways of the divine.

Let us praise the Lord and let his ways be known upon earth.

Salvation to the ends of the earth our God reigns

We are happy and exult in your presence to remain.

May God’s face shine upon us as we proclaim His worth.

Jesus wants us to be His dwelling places,

To have faith and trust,

To believe in the Father who sent the Son a must,

To soften our hearts and make them open spaces.

‘Whoever loves me will keep my word,’

And we will come to them undeterred
