CM-7.28.13  Gen. 18. 20-32  Ps. 138. 1-2, 2-3, 6-7, 7-8  Col. 2. 12-14  Lk. 11. 1-13

Cosmic connection:  clear light blue skies, chilly early morning cold, quiet

Question of the day: For whom might I ask God’s mercy in my prayer today?

Abraham in Genesis is bargaining with the Lord over the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.

He is persistent beyond a doubt,

For the innocent Abraham barters his clout.

The Lord could refuse just because of Abraham’s verbal plethora.

‘Lord when I call for help you answer me.’

I thank and praise you Lord for your goodness and mercy towards me.

You have obliterated my sins,

Nailing them to the cross where everyone wins.

The Lord will complete all that He wants for my sojourn on this earth.

My beloved in this life is my partner as I become the dancer.

The Our Father is Jesus’ lesson plan for teaching prayer to his disciple.

There are seven petitions in Luke’s rendition,

Asking, seeking and knocking strong in our tradition,

Prayer then becomes fruitful when persistent and vital.

Teresa of Avila furthers in lesson in her ‘way of Perfection’ for which she become a doctor of the Church. entitled.

Cm-7.27.13  Ex. 24. 3-8  Ps. 50. 1B-2, 5-6, 14-15  Mt. 13. 24-30

Cosmic connection:  Very thick fog to burn off, one caw.

Question of the day:  How can I safeguard the gifts God has planted in my life?

Beauty pleasing and impressive, attractiveness,

Where do I see it how do I know, the colors of a rose,

The filaments of the dandelion, the leaf I blow,

But once I see it I know I have been touched, a presence is revealed.

The covenant practice is a bloody beauty, but necessary for the people,

Our sacrifice is one our praise, – gratitude our attitude,

Appreciating all beauty our hearts tickled with delight.

The Gospel is another parable of the weeds and the wheat.

They each are nurtured with growth until the harvest,

Then the wheat will be gathered into the Lord’s barn a place of Beauty.

Praise and bless the Lord for this beautiful day.

CM-7.25.13  2nd Cor. 4.7-15  Ps. 126/ 1BC-2AB,2CD=3, 4-5, 6  Mt. 20. 20-28

Cosmic connection”  cool, and crisp, quiet and still, moon visible, warm one

Question of the day: What request would I want Jesus to grant his people today?

No matter what we are being given up to death every day,

In order that the life of Jesus may be seen through our Christian actions.

From this we want to not be given up to distraction,

All this in everyone that we all might draw forth thanksgiving to the

Glory of God.

‘Those who sow in tears shall come back rejoicing.’

Wondrous deeds the Lord has done, we are glad for sure,

A day of rest to recuperate then we shall harvest our goodness

continuing to endure.

Our praise, relief gladness voicing.

Did your mother ever do something to embarrass you before others?

Drinking the chalice and sitting in the highest place?

Yes they may drink the chalice

No they shall not sit high what was she thinking,

But mothers we forgive even if they lead us into disgrace.

I chose you from the world to go forth and bear fruit,

As the word of God forms you and continues through service from within to take root.

Cm-7.24.13  Ex.16. 1-5, 9-10  Ps.78. 18-19,23-24, 15-26. 27-28  Mt. 13. 1-9

Cosmic connection” clears blue skies; full moon in the west crows a- cawing

Question of the day: How can I make my heart a better environment for receiving the word of God?

The people grumbled

God heard and replied

By giving them manna or bread in the morning,

And quail their meat in the evening

Then they shall know who their God is and not stumble.

‘The Lord gave them bread from heaven

They were demanding in the dessert

They watched the skies morning and evening alert

They did not have to cook with leaven.

Today we have the parable of the sower,

Which applies to differing types of soil,

How we open our hearts each morning hardened or open brought to a boil

For it is the Spirit who is the grower.

Cm-7.24.13  Ex. 14. 21-15.1  Ps. 15. 8-9, 10 &12.17  Mt. 12. 46-50

Cosmic connection:  cloudy skies threatening quiet cool

Question of the day: When did God; ‘part the waters’ and help me with a difficult passage?

A wall of water to my left and to my right

Israelites on dry ground,

Pharaoh and his forces to confound,

The movie brings our imagination into inner light

Pharaoh thought he could pursue them and bring them back to slavery.

But the force of Pharaoh sank into the mud.

Their chariot wheel clogged with a thud,

The Israelites continue to the Promised Land exhibiting their bravery.

Jesus teaches us who belongs to his family

Those who love the Word and put it into action,

Not getting too busy and clogged with distraction,

Finding beauty in nature, in simplicity a bit of majesty.

Gratitude swells my heart as I remember, O Lord all the passages to this present moment.

Come to me, O Lord, as a good night’s sleep is golden

Cm-7.22.13  Ex. 14. 5-18  Ps. 15. 1BC-2, 3-4, 5-6  Jn. 30. 1-2, 11-18

Cosmic connection: gray skies easy to burn off still and quiet.

Question of the day: How can I be more ready to respond when Jesus speaks to me?

Pharaoh is still obstinate.

Pharaoh mustered his troops and followed the Israelites into the desert.

They went after with six hundred charioteers with all their energy to exert.

The Lord encourages Moses and the people to continue forward that the Lord might receive glory from Pharaoh and his men alert.

‘Let us sing to the Lord: he has covered himself in glory.’

Horse and rider He has cast into the sea.

What will He do with you and me?

Your right hand, O Lord is full of power our faith in this story.

Mary Magdalen runs to the tomb

She peeks in to find two angels there,

She is repeatedly asking why she is weeping

Tell me where have they have laid him, ‘tell me where.

Then in the garden, He calls her name; she responds, – teacher and she finds room.

Tell us, Mary what did you see along the way?

I saw the glory of the Lord, – the empty tomb that day.

Cosmic connection:  Clear blue sky day, crows a cawing

Question of the day: Which of these sisters am I most like why?

Hospitality of Abraham and Sarah when the Lord’s visitors came to visit.

They are served a sumptuous meal,

They has come to say a son would be born to reveal,

Cakes and meat refreshment to elicit.

‘He who doses justice shall live in the presence of the Lord.’

Blameless is the one who treats everyone fairly

Who does no put down another,

But loves every sister and brother,

Let us live simply clean out what we have stored.

Mary and Martha also teach about a generous welcome.

Martha is full of business unable to give the Lord some time.

Mary knows better, seeks to sit and listen to the sublime.

Giving the Lord within her a generous pleasant hospitality.

Blessed are they, who keep the Word with a generous heart,

Yielding a harvest at very day’s dawn to restart.
