Poetry cm-11.27.10

Cm-11.27.10 Rev. 22.1-7 Ps. 95. 1-2, 3-5, 6-7AB Lk. 21. 34-36

Cosmic connection: expected freezing, warm due to rain, dampness.

The river of life with fruitfulness on every side,

Flowing from the throne of God,

Tree leaves serve medicinal purposes no façade.

To this throne we come to confide.

Come Lord Messiah, come.

Let us proclaim our rock,

Yearn for him, daily take stock,

Always coming into his presence with thanksgiving being our rule of thumb.

Vigilance the cornerstone of our being awake.

Alert beyond slumber, and the danger of a trap,

In winter’s cold and icy snap,

That we might surrender to this new Messiah and be taken.

Give us, O Lord, the grace to stand before the Son of Man,

That we might escape the time of tribulation and come to understand.
