Poetry cm1.30.11

Cm-1. 30.11 Zeph. 2.3; 3.12-13 Ps. 146. 6-7, 8-9, 9-10 1st Cor. 1. 26-31 Mt. 5. 1-12A

Cosmic connection: overcast damp cold, wet courtyard.

Seek the Lord,- wake up to the good voice within you.

Fret not about the alarm clock, nor snuggling in for some warm comfy time,

Rather waken to He who is within the sublime divine,

Grow into a people that is humble able to listen and wide open to this Word which will undo you.

The Lord it is who gives sight to the blind,

Gives food to the hungry

Those who are willing to fathom what it is to walk humbly,

For the power only comes though God who is eternally compassionate and kind,

Our boast then should be in the Lord,

Who is our power grace and strength all day long

So conversely God chooses the weak to confound the strong,

The humble to combat human hubris, with the Spirit to soar with the One Adored.

Beatitudes, blessing,

Poor in spirit, mourning negatives appearing,

Turn to blessings:-:kindom of heaven, inherit the land, children of God cohering,

Rejoice and be glad your reward is in heaven anything but distressing.

Rejoice and be glad,-

Such a promise cannot go bad.

CM-1.26.11 2nd Tim. 1. 1-8 Or Titus 1. 1-5 Ps. 96. 1-2A, 2B-3, 7-8A 10 Mk. 4. 1-20

Cosmic connection: clear moonless, starry sky.

Bear your sufferings with the strength which comes from God,

I send you, mercy, peace and grace,

I Paul, mentor your Christian life at my pace.

Our faith is in common with one another, being a member of the Kindom’s Gospel squad

What wondrous gifts to receive from a friend

Grace mercy and peace.

With such gifts we can begin to sing this day’s new song, to release,

Good music stations vanishing that is the trend.

There is a miracle in the Words of Jesus when He speaks in parables,

Simple stories to teach moral and religious truths,

We’ve probably heard since our youth,

The miracle is they spoke these stories 2000 years ago and today are still viable and bearable.

Praise to this God who can speak to us and convert our soil into rich soil,

As we try to tend our souls in this particular beautiful day not to spoil.

Cm-1.23.11 Isaiah 9. 23-9.3 Ps. 27 2, 4, 13-14 1st Cor. 1. 10-13, 17 Mt. 4. 12-13 or 12-17

Cosmic connection: bright clear skies, waning moon, stars a twinkling.

The Kindom is at hand

Jesus preaches repentance and continues curing every blight,

People who have been in darkness have see a great light

Those called left abruptly, and left their work behind; His group of followers he wanted to expand.

The cross of Christ is never to be emptied of its meaning,

Salvation and redemption, mercy and love, unity yet perceived,

By all the baptized who basically believe

No rivalries or competition, with hearts peaceful and serene.

To gaze on the loveliness of the Lord, in a chapel or in seeing the depth of color in a rose,

Let us wait for the Lord with courage,

And find ways each day to for others encourage,

The beauties and wonders of creation in nature exposed.

A Sabbath day of rest and making merry,

Rejoicing in the harvest nothing taken for granted let us tarry.

Cosmic connection: brilliant full moon, clear skies a few stars.

Mediator of a better covenant bonding,

Jesus our intercessor so fine,

High priest of the Heavenly tabernacle divine,

Help us , O Lord, to make our lives actions corresponding.

Here I am Lord, I come to do your will,

Give me ears open to obedience,

Although Katherine Hepburn says, with expedience

“ If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun.” to instill.

Jesus Wanted a waqy to get away from the crowds, a boat,

Still He cured them of many diseases and difficult ills,

Unclean spirits came out and did Him homage to distill.

He warned them not to make him known by a misquote.

Our savior has destroyed death,

The wonders of each day may keep us out of breath.

Cm-1.19.11 Heb. 7. 1-3, 15-17 Ps. 110. 1, 2. 3. 4 Mk. 3. 1-6

Cosmic connection: saw the moon setting in the west through slight overcast moon is full.

Ah,-to be a member of the crowd,-

Ordinary, simple, to belong included,

Not with highfalutin ideas deluded,

Listening to the priest forever speaking teaching aloud.

The original priest Melchizedek, of linage long,

How is it we show our daily respect,

Education and training beyond the norm, a daily connect,

How difficult it must be to remain humble and strong.

Jesus is again challenged by the Pharisees,

Who end up plotting his death with the Herodias so cruel

Jesus only wanting to cure a withered hand keeping his cool,

Jesus always listening to the needy’s pleas.

Jesus among the people cured every disease,

This in our time has exploded always on the increase.

Cm-1.18.11 Heb 6. 10-20 Ps. 111.1-2, 4-5, 9&10C Mk. 2. 23-29

Cosmic connection: clear starry moonlit sky, almost full moon in western quadrant setting

Lord of the Sabbath,

Picking grains of corn making a path through the field,

When I smell popcorn I have to have two kernels, consternation of Pharisees yields

The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath without wrath.

God swore an oath to Abraham to bless us His promise was immutable,

Unchanging, permanent, fixed

Our world is not that way busy, noisy jumbled intermixed,

Let us hold fast to the hope before us; his promise is irrefutable.

Praise and thanksgiving to this Lord of Covenant bonding.

Doing wondrous deeds, exquisite delight,

Sending deliverance, giving food, ratifying his covenant, prayerful invite

For this entire Lord we ask that we might become more grateful; for your gracious mercy corresponding.

Enlighten our eyes, O Lord, of all

That each of us may know the hope which belongs to our call.

Cm-1.17.11 Heb 5.1-10 Ps. 110. 1, 2, 3, 4 Mk 2.18-22

Cosmic connection: Tule fog very foggy not too cold mysterious

Jesus came and learned obedience from His suffering

He prayed aloud to the One who could save Him for sure, His preference

He was heard because of His reverence

So when all was perfectly completed Jesus became the source of eternal life by buffering.

Very few of us know what it is like to be a priest,

They have come down to us in a long line since Melchizedek

The name may not only refer to priest but a king in the Davidic line in check,

Power will come forth from Zion; The Lord will stretch this Ones power in Spirit to release.

Mortification is mentioned in the term fasting,

Pharisees grumble but Jesus answers we will fast when the bridegroom is taken away,

Then the metaphor of old/new cloth sewn on to a tear, and new/old wineskins nothing halfway

All this referring to the grace of eternal life everlasting.

The Word of God is living and effective, a work of art,

Able to discern the thoughts and reflections of every heart,
