Cm-7.20.11  Ex.16. 1-5, 9-15  Ps. 78. 18-19, 23-24m 25-26, 27-28  Mt. 13. 1-9

Cosmic connection: a gorgeous summer clear skied morn quiet. One Little brown job with me.

Manna a quail, gifts of the Lord,

The Lord answers the peoples grumbling in the desert,

From then on the people must learn to trust and convert,

They were only to collect their daily portion no more.

God did spread a table in the desert,

Quail, good tender birds to eat,

Manna their bread to fill them in the morning replete,

The human learned to trust in the providence of God so overt.

Ah, – another parable, of the seed,

Falling into various soil its environment,

A scientist once taught me that a seed or weed may change its environment,

Think and learn from the enduring dandelion coming through modern day cement indeed!

The seed in the Word of God,

Let us go out and sow this seed into hearts near and abroad.

Poetry cm-7.19.11

Cm-7.19.11  Ex. 14. 21-15:1  Ex 15, 8-9, 10 & 12, 17  Mt. 12. 36-50

Cosmic connection:   quiet cool summer morn overcast, quiet, bird in the distance.

Now we’ve heard both sides of the story,

We hear of God giving Moses power over water

Causing the death of pharaoh and His men, a slaughter,

A wall not of rock but of water on each side, from a quarry.

The power of God, a wall of water on either side,

The children of Israel, walked right through on dry land,

The Egyptians chariots were clogged by the sea they died we come you understand,

We seem to take the victory for granted; we take in stride.

Horse and rider he has cast into the sea,

The earth congealed and swallowed them up,

We were planted on the mountains with plenty to sup,

Victorious the Lord brought them into the Promised Land, to His sanctuary victorious and free.

This daily Word we pray and follow,

Causes us to become disciples and to be blessed,

Jesus says we become his brothers and sister his kin, his quest,

Thus being as blessed as His Mother, keeping the Word. More than a bit hard to swallow.

Whoever love me, Jesus, will keep my Word,

And We, my Father and I, shall come to you, undeterred.

Cm-7,18,11  Ex. 14. 5-18   Ex. 15. 1BC,-2, 3-5, 5-6  Mt. 12. 38-42

Cosmic Connection: very quiet early summer morn no birds or breeze

The Egyptians follow the Israelites into the Red Sea

Moses I told to raise his staff and split the Red Sea in two.

The Egyptians follow and give glory to God out of the blue.

More of Exodus in our psalm response for those set free..

Our strength and our courage come from the Lord,

Who brings about our victories,

Who clears up any mysteries,

The right hand of the Lord is full of power, the fate of Israel restored.

Jesus does not want us to look for signs,

Only anything that will bring us to repent which means for us a change,

Instead excuses pop out and we the truth try to rearrange,

Our hearts rather seek to be redesigned.

Something greater than Solomon here,

Conversion of heart for all quite clear.

Poetry cm-7.17.11

Cm-7.17.11  Wis.12. 13, 15-19  Ps. 86. 5-6, 9-10, 15-16  Roms. 8. 26-27  Mt. 13. 24-43

Cosmic connection:  Very overcast morning a long time burning off,   quiet still.

The parable itself is a seed

Planted by the Lord, many moons ago,

Using everyday symbols to speak to us  and show

Us a way to live with even with the weeds, and fulfill many needs.

Through the one who intercedes.

This week: It is the Spirit who speaks with inexpressible groanings

But Jesus speak through the parables and sets us to pondering,

Asking us to take care of ourselves and not go into judgment wandering,

Doing only the things the Spirit is condoning.

Loving and forgiving is our Lord and God,

Abounding in love for those who call,

Giving strength to His servants even those who fall,

Some even have their own wireless connection quite mod.

Blessed are you, Father of heaven and earth,-

For all your blessings of us since our birth.

Cm-7.16.11  Ex. 12. 38-42  Ps. 136.1, 23-24, 10-12, 13-15  Mt. 12. 14-20

Cosmic connection:  very overcast day quiet, no birds no breeze

The Israelites hastily rushed out of Egypt.

Little food and a massive bunch of humanity,

Destined to become Christianity,

Taking everything with them well equipped.

To our God of providence let us give thanks,

Our rescuer from those who oppress,

Causing others unknown distress,

None of us will be with savings running to our banks.

Jesus does not argue, or snuff another out,

The bruised reed He will not break,

He shall bring victory with justice at stake,

That takes a lot of faith without human doubt.

God was reconciling the world in Christ,

Entrusting to us the message of reconciliation: – the challenge of being Disciples of Christ

Cm-7.15.11  Ex. 11. 19-12,14  Ps. 116.12-13m 15, 16bc, 17-18  Mt. 12. 1-8

Cosmic connection: Cool overcast summer morn quiet gray day.

The Passover, the Passover Egyptians and Israelites let all take cover!

Mark your doors; eat lamb to the last morsel,

Freedom from Egypt follow the Lord’s counsel,

Find some summer; fun relax and rediscover.

How shall I make a return to the Lord

For all His goodness to me?

Of my life a make an offering of thanksgiving you see,

For when I call upon the name of the Lord  whom we daily implore.

God desires us to have mercy not sacrifice,

While the letter of the law may kill,

The law of the heart accord instills.

Grains of corn seem minimal the Sprit gives concise advice.

The Lord’s followers hear his voice,

Giving us the opportunity to make the loving choice.

Cm-7.12.11 Exodus 2. 1-15A Ps. 69, 3, 14, 30-31, 33-34 Mt. 11. 20-24

Cosmic connection: cool summer morn, overcast to burn off, birds in the distance. God’s world.

The story continues a boy baby is saved

From a basket in the river,

Pharaoh’s daughter is a risker and a giver,

Moses then sees how the people are enslaved.

Lord, I sense this day is one in which I need your constant help,

Some live from moment to moment with a life quite fragile.

Remembering a youth in which I was quite agile,

But no I preach a God of Conversion and repentance without a yelp.

Doom and gloom, judgment as heavy as Sodom People who did not repent.

What is a conversion except a change of heart and mind.

Try in our day to be love gracious and kind,

In the way of Jesus meeting your challenges ne’er to relent.

If today you here his voice,

Be aware, awake and make your choice.

Cm-7/11/11 Ex/ 1.8-14, 22 Ps. 124. 1B-3, 4-6, 7-8 Mt. 10. 36-11.1

Cosmic connection: gray cool foggy summer morn birds, convent cat.

One class of citizens decides another class should be oppressed,

The Egyptians decide to oppress the Israelites

To such an extent that girl babies are allowed but boys are tossed into the river what a sight.

They creatively thought of how they could commit Israelites much distress.

But, as with us, The Lord is with them through it all

For if we exist now then the Lord has seen us through much,

Our help is in the name of our Lord as such,

The many trials we have been through allow us to speak, over the along haul.

Jesus tells us he has not come to bring us external peace,

The gift found deep within where we listen to the daily word,

Take care of God’s little one in your midst, your reward assured,

Found in the gift of eternal life at our final release.

Look at persecution as a blessing,

Look forward to the resurrection, progressing

Poetry cm-7.10.11

Cm-7.10.11 Is.. 55. 10-11 Ps. 65. 10, 11, 12-13, 14 Rom. 8. 18-23 Mt. 13. 1-23

Cosmic connection: Cool foggy quiet summer morn.

Parables– stories that are told to make a teaching point, you see,

Symbols are used today it is the seed, the sower and the soil,

For the great gifts of the earth we would not want to spoil,

True disciples, we intend to be not like the scribes and Pharisees,

Paul tells us that the suffering in the moment is not comparable to the glory to be revealed.

Glory is each living person fully alive!

Surely its given back to honor and praise the Lord and contributes to the light,

All creation groans inwardly awaiting our adoption and redemption ideal.

Jesus tells us we desire to be deep faithful soil,

That the seed of the Word daily might be producing fruit.

It takes time from our day to let the seed take root,

Opening to the Spirit enflaming our hearts to a boil.

The seed is the Word, Christ is the sower

Time, ever deepening faith and grace are the grower.

Cm-7.9.11 Gen. 49. 29-32; 50.15-26A Ps. 105. 1-2, 3-4, 6-7 Mt.10. 24-33

Cosmic connection: foggy cool morn, one bird song mysterious

A respite from the heat

Burial of a generation,

Old Testament family’s burial instructions,

Ne’er to repeat.

Sing a new song look for what is new

Invoke the Name so much greater than you,

Glory in this Name you who seek the Lord to imbue.

The prevailing Lord of power and control, our point of view.

No disciple is greater than his Master,

Nothing shall be hidden all shall be revealed,

Whether in darkness or brilliant light speak your message clear to appeal,

So have no fear, replaced it with love or foresee disaster.

If you are insulted for the sake of the name it is a blessing,

Consider it icing on your cake dressing.
