Cm-5.17.13  Acts  25. 13B-21  Ps. 103.1-2. 11-12, 18-20AB  Jn.21. 15-19

Cosmic connection:  beautiful blue sky day birds noisy crows hungry.

Question of the day: To what service of others is my love leading me to?

It seems everyone is on trial today,

Paul in Jerusalem and Rome,

Peter asked by Jesus three times ‘do you love me’?

Peter was told to feed the sheep; to tend the sheep; to love the sheep and to follow the disciples’ Way.

Bless the Lord my soul,

All my being bless his holy name,

To praise and to bless and be grateful all the same,

Not to do so is to dig for yourself a big hole.

Poor Peter asked three times

I wonder why he didn’t just grow silent:

“You know that I love you.” I am compliant,

Patiently listening to all his crimes.

‘The Holy spirit will teach you

And remind you of all that I have told you.’

Cosmic connection:  gray overcast humid about to rain day

Question of the day: What new insight about God have I received this Easter season?

Unity is the theme of this day:

Jesus wants us to be one with himself and the Father both,

Paul is encourage to take courage that he might give witness not only in Jerusalem but also in Rome showing growth,

The dispute between the Pharisees and Sadducees almost becomes violent as each tries to have his say.

The Psalmist makes a cry for safety

Because God is his hope, trusting in the Lord to keep his lot,

Knowing that even in a night’s sleep the Lord gives us counsel on the spot,

Asking the Lord to show the path of life how to follow it not hasty.

The Last Discourse of John is difficult to parse

Having one Johanine course is not enough,

Jesus exhorts us to unity; he gets tough,

Looking at our world such unity is quite sparse.

“The Holy Spirit will teach you everything”

Come Holy Spirit fill the hearts of your faithful show us we are not dreaming.

Cm-5.15.13  Acts20. 28-38  Ps. 68. 29-30, 33-35A35BC-3AB  Jn. 17. 11B-19

Cosmic connection: blue sky day a few birds early morning coolness

Question of the day: What special joy have I felt recently?

Paul and Jesus have us set aside for their use,

Consecrated by the Word, letting the Word be our daily guide,

If we must converse may it be within Jesus’ heart to abide,

May it be our chose to spread the Good news.

The psalm asks the Lord to show forth His power.

We need His grace at every hour,

Within God’s garden may his goodness flower,

For his majesty is high in the heavens his glory from above to shower.

Jesus asks the Father to keep us as one as deeply as the Father and Jesus are one.

Jesus asks the father to consecrate us in truth,

To be set aside for use by God through the Word called since our youth.

We like Christ are not of the world until the day when we are complete, done.

‘Your word is truth,

Consecrate us in that truth.’

Cm-5.14.13  Acts 1. 17, 20-26  Ps. 113. 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8  Jn. 15. 9-17

Cosmic connection: bright brilliant cool early morn birds a-twitter

Question of the day: How have I deepened my friendship with Jesus during the Lenten and Easter season?

Since Judas was no longer with the disciples,

Someone needed to be chosen to take his place,

The disciples decide to cast lots they voted in Mathias to fill Judas’ space,

Matthias is given a seat with the disciples, to praise,

Praising throughout the day from dawn to dusk sing praise,

Notice the beauty around you let it set your heart ablaze.

The Lord raise the lowly lifting them on high helping all to come together and rephrase.

Jesus wants us to value our friendship with him and to remain,

He is preparing us for the coming of the Spirit and the Trinitarian God,

Coming up is the sending of the Spirit and within this God we are to abide a bit awed.

Loving one another seeking to be all inclusive no hatred to contain.

I chose you to go out and bear fruit,

May it be fruit that will last en route…

Cm-5.13.13  Acts19. 1-8  Ps. 68. 2-3AB, 4-5ACD, 6-7AB  Jn. 16. 29-33

Cosmic connection:  brilliant sky-blue day, cool early morn

Question of the day: Whom do I need to thank for bringing the Holy Spirit to me?

Paul in Ephesus asks them if they have received the Holy Spirit’s grace,

They do not understand since they have only received the baptism of

John the Baptist

Then Paul laid his hands upon them and the Spirit they received,

From then on the deepened their belief,

Ten to live a life of action for the needy their place.

In this period before the coming of Pentecost the Psalmist’

Emphasizes the nations and kingship of all the earth,

Our new Pope is one who examples for us simplicity and lack of palatial worth,

H, Francis is trying to be a reformist of the Church from the top down, a catalyst

If you then were baptized into Christ Jesus, seek the things from above,

Stretch yourself seeking to do acts of love…

Cosmic connection: bright brilliant blue sky day

Question of the day: What can I do to share my experience of the risen Christ with someone today?

The martyrdom of Stephen the first martyr.

On a day when our new pope

Canonizes 800 more martyrs to sainthood HIS SCOPE

Stephen forgives his perpetrators full of wisdom, a bit smarter.

The psalm shows us the Ascension by the Lord mounting his throne,

Because He is king enthroned, we sing praise, sing praise,

Although because Jesus seemingly leaves us our loss amazes,

But we must remember He is always with us within our bond of love so sown.

We are the witnesses of our Lord forever,

Daily we encourage others along this journey,

The Holy Spirit to be our attorney,

The hungry, the thirsty, the poor, we become their witnessing ambassadors for whomever.

Go and teach all nations,

Spread the good news that Jesus is with us forever our elation.

Cosmic connection: cloudy overcast, early morning coolness birds a-twitter.

Question of the day: When have I felt sad because Jesus seemed far away?

Paul and Silas were put in jail,

They escaped causing the jailor consternation,

He wanted to take his life because they were free but

They were all still there in the jail; the jailor becomes baptized life eternal anything but stale.

Praise and thanksgiving are the activities our souls,

The Lord’s name and promise are the center of His covenant ,

Awaiting the Lord to make all things complete our lives to supplement,

Lord forget us not the work of your hands make uswhole.

Jesus is still telling us of the coming of the Spirit the Advocate.

Jesus must go to allow the Spirit to come

The Spirit will condemn sin and lack of faith and bring wholeness the sum.

Difficult to understand but allowing the Spirit to be the One who teaches and preaches in our hearts open to such concerns to plumb.

“I will send you the Spirit of truth’

Cosmic connection: Gorgeous blue sky day, early morn coolness, birds

Question of the day: How is god opening my heart his Easter Season?

Attentive to the Word with an open heart,

Guided by the Spirit, Lydia listens to Paul,

Who is traveling and preaching and following his call,

Dealer in purple cloth her fame as she takes her part.

The Lord takes delight in the human fully alive,

Ready for action in faith and trust praise and thanksgiving, impetus to strive.

To be so alive is the glory of the people in which the Lord takes delight in such a heart.

Jesus lets us know of the sending of the Spirit to come,

An advocate who will teach us everything,

Here even in this brilliant spring,

Fret not about suffering and persecution part of discipleship our depths to plumb.

People go off to pray letting the Spirit testify,

Each of us shall witness and the Lord exemplify

Cosmic connection: cool clear cloudy, morn, relief from heat

Question of the day: When have I experienced Jesus’ presence with me recently?

Do not let false teachers disturb your heart and mind.

No extra burden will be placed on you.

Refrain from meat and remain true,

Then you will be able to hear the Holy Spirit and the ways of the divine.

Let us praise the Lord and let his ways be known upon earth.

Salvation to the ends of the earth our God reigns

We are happy and exult in your presence to remain.

May God’s face shine upon us as we proclaim His worth.

Jesus wants us to be His dwelling places,

To have faith and trust,

To believe in the Father who sent the Son a must,

To soften our hearts and make them open spaces.

‘Whoever loves me will keep my word,’

And we will come to them undeterred
